Picking Myself Up

It's been a little over two months since my last post. I was supposed to go on a fast then but i didn't. I don't know what happened. I guess i slipped.

A lot has happened since then. I major thing is i lost my job. Other areas have been picking up though. My love life is perfect right now, my clothing line (Othentiq Couture) is finally about to hit stores and i'm hitting the runway in October at the Fashion Weekend Zimbabwe as a plus-size model.

So, since May to date, i haven't been taking care of my body at all. I've gained 5kg since then, putting me at 98kg(216lbs). Whew, that's a lot. My boyfriend, i call him Sweets, and i have agreed to start taking care of my body again. He bought a new scale for me because the one i had broke. He says no more junk food for me and we are now walking for 2hours, three days a week. He's pushing me and that's just what i  need right now.

Tomorrow i go on a water fast to detox and cleanse my body, before i move on to a vegetarian diet. Will start gym again by end of August. Right now i just need to boost my body and get it used to a change of diet. After all, healthy eating constitutes about 70% of total weight loss.

Tomorrow morning, i'm on it!

Water Fasting Starting Tomorrow

I have been so reluctant to go on a fast for a while now. Each time i told myself i was gonna do it, i ended up not doing it. I was supposed to start my 7 day fast on Monday but i still havent started.

Today, i got a call from somebody who wants me to do some work for them (i'm a plus-size model) and i'm kicking myself in the ass cuz i'm just not in the best shape right now. I might lose this job, all because i've been procastinating!

So, i've decided to start tomorrow without fail. I'm going this route because i desperately need to lose a few inches, especially around my waist, for this job that i just got. I know i can't do it by myself right now so i need you guys to push me and support me. If i can make it through day 1, i know i'll be good enough to continue.

I'm gonna ask you guys to push me real hard. Inbox me, comment, do whatever. I'm gonna put my number here. Those that can Whatsapp me, do that. I badly need to do this guys.

Killing Myself With Food!

It being a holiday and all, i decided to put my fast on hold for a while, or until the Easter holidays are over. When i do get back to fasting, i want to start with water fasting for the first few days (7 to 10 days) then after that i can get into intermittent fasting. I want extreme detox to take place quickly for the first few days then when my body has cleansed itself of all toxins, i can move on to IF and gradually lose weight.

What Is Intermittent Fasting

Wikipedia describes Intermittent Fasting (IF) as a pattern of eating that alternates between periods of fasting (usually meaning consumption of water only) and non-fasting.

There are many different ways of doing IF which may include a 24 hour period of fasting then another 24 hour period of non-fasting. The most common one and easiest one to do is the one where one gives themselves 18 hours of fasting then have a six hour period in a day where they eat low carb foods. during the six hours, depending on one's personal goals, a person can have one or two meals. Weight loss is not as rapid as when a person is water fasting but you do begin to see the results within two weeks. The average weight loss on IF is 1 to 1.5 pounds per week.

Because the weight loss process is slow with IF, people normally do water fasting first, then when they get to the desired weight, they start IF inoder to maintain their weight.

While water fasting, a person can fast from 1 to 40 days. One should always try to drink 2 liters of water or more per day.



The ten day water fast has become a recommended number of days.
