I've done this diet before and on average, a person will lose between 5-8 kg, which is quite a big margin. Please note, this is different from those fad diets out there because with this one, you don't gain all the weight back when you start eating normally again.
Another plus for this diet is that, you can eat as much as you want, as long as it is what you are supposed to have. If it's a fruit day, you eat as many as you want. The point is, you don't have to starve yourself because more often than not, starving yourself will lead to binging. You'll also get to eat rice and meat on certain days. Burgers are also allowed, as long as they are lean. So you see, it's not difficult at all. Plus, if you want, you can exercise while on the diet. Strenuous exercise is not advisable, though.
I'm planning to start on Monday, the 25th of March. Right now i weight about 95kg (210lbs) and my goal weight is at 70kg (154lbs) in the next 3 months. That means i must lose at least 1.9kg (4.8lbs) per week which doesn't sound that difficult (yet!).
The good thing about this diet is that it corrects and speeds up your metabolism. This means that your body will be able to burn fat fast, leading to no weight gain. Your weight is maintained, no matter how much you eat.
